ประวัติ

หลวงศรีนครานุกูล เป็นคหบดีที่มีชื่อเสียงคนหนึ่งของจังหวัดพะเยา ได้รับพระราชทานนามสกุลจากสมเด็จพระนางเจ้า อินทรศักดิ์ศจี ในล้นเกล้าล้นกระหม่อมรัชกาลที่ 6 ว่า สุทธภักติ ท่านได้สร้างบ้านพักอาศัยของครอบครัวขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2489 ซึ่งท่านได้เขียนแบบและควบคุมการก่อสร้างด้วยตนเอง โดยใช้ช่างก่อสร้างในจังหวัดพะเยาทั้งหมด ต่อมาหลวงศรีนครานุกูลได้มาตั้งโรงงานสุราสัมปทานบริเวณริมกว๊านพะเยาและได้สร้างบ้านพักรับรองขึ้น โดยบ้านหลังนี้ได้มีโอกาสต้อนรับบุคคลสำคัญๆ ที่มาพักอาศัยในระหว่างการเดินทางของราชการเช่น พระบาทสมเด็จพระปกเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 7 เจ้าพระยาพหลพลพยุหเสนา และพ.อ.หลวงชำนาญยุทธศาสตร์ (จอมพลผิน ชุณหะวัณ) เป็นต้น สำหรับบ้านพักอาศัยของหลวงศรีนครานุกูล เรียกว่าบ้านบน หรือบ้านสุทธภักติ ส่วนบ้านพักรับรองริมกว๊านพะเยาเรียกว่าบ้านล่าง

บ้านสุทธภักติเป็นอาคารไม้สัก 2 ชั้น มีมุขยื่นออกมาด้านหน้า หน้าต่างเป็นแบบบานเกล็ดเปิดคู่ เหนือช่องหน้าต่างเจาะเพื่อประดับกระจกอย่างตะวันตก บริเวณคอสองฉลุไม้เพื่อระบายอากาศ หลังคาเป็นทรงปั้นหยามุงด้วยกระเบื้องซีเมนต์รูปว่าวพื้นบ้าน ฝาผนังและเพดานประกอบแบบเข้าลิ้นทั้งหมด ชั้นล่างของบ้านแบ่งเป็นห้องมุขหน้า ห้องรับแขก ห้องหนังสือ ห้องครัวและห้องน้ำ ส่วนชั้นบนเป็นห้องโถง ห้องนอน และห้องเก็บของส่วนหลังของบ้านมีบ้านอีกหลังเป็นอาคารชั้นเดียวเชื่อมต่อกันด้วยลานบ้าน เพื่อใช้เป็นห้องเก็บของ และห้องนั่งเล่น

ในปี พ.ศ. 2550 บ้านสุทธภักติ ได้รับการบูรณะปรับปรุงครั้งใหญ่ และสามารถรักษาคุณค่าทางประวัติศาสตร์ สถาปัตยกรรม และสภาพดั้งเดิมของบ้านไว้ได้อย่างน่าชื่นชม

History

Luang Srinakaranukul was a famous and wealthy figure in Phayao province. His last name “Sutthapakti” was granted by Her Majesty Queen Indrasakdi Sachi during the reign of King Rama VI. Luang Srinakaranukul later established his liquor factory, Sura Sampatan, around Kwan Phayao and had two residences constructed around the area; one was for travelling guests located on Chao Kwan Road known as “Ban Lang” (currently abandoned), and another was his own house called “Ban Bon” or “Ban Sutthapakti” Sutthapakti House was structured and designed by Luang Srinakaranukul. The entire residence is made of teak wood. The construction of the Panya (Hipped roof) style two storey residences was completed in 1946. It has a porch in front and its windows are dual louver blades. Over the windows are pierced decorative mirrors similar to western styles. The top of the wooden posts around the house are carved for ventilation. The house has a hip roof which was originally tiled with “Pankled” (traditional roofing) before being changed to kite shaped concrete roof tiles when the house was renovated in 2007. The floor, wall and ceilings are all wooden boards joined together. The ground floor has a front entrance, guest room, library, kitchen and a bathroom. The top floor enters into a hall,a bedroom and a storage room. The back of the house has another house that is connected by a patio. This house was used as a storage room and a living room.
